Jim Kelley
Director of Technology
With over 20 years of experience in the software industry, I have successfully led strategic consulting service engagements across different industries with a wide variety of technology stacks. I have a knack for being able to understand both the business and technical side of the equation and arrive at a solution that best fits the task at hand.
As Director of Technology at Capital Advisors Group, I currently provide strategic technology leadership and development for the firm’s various fintech & operational initiatives. Previously, I founded 33 Technologies, a technology consultancy firm with core competencies in the Investment Management space, specifically around Data Operations, Front, Middle, & Back Office System Integrations, and Client Reporting.
I also had over a decade of experience with Varden Technologies where I was a founding architect of the eReportal Client Reporting Platform and, as director of implementations, led numerous engagements ranging from large institutional clients producing highly dynamic Pitchbooks and Factsheets to more traditional tabular reports to dynamic data driven dashboards on eReportal’s Xportal platform. I also led a number of successful client engagements for Varden’s consulting practice, including an enterprise-wide compliance implementation of Fidessa’s LatentZero Sentinel as well in-house data warehouses and back-office operational workflows and processes.
Skills include excellent software design, development, and database implementation utilizing .NET, Java, XML, HTML, JavaScript, OOD/OOP, Sql Server and Oracle. I have deep architectural knowledge of distributed message-based enterprise systems, and experience with buy-side financial industry workflows, technical frameworks and strategies. I also have extensive integration experience with Blackbaud’s nonprofit enterprise CRM, The Raiser’s Edge, and implementation experience with CGI Federal’s Momentum Financials Federal Government Account Software.
